'It was very obvious to me that there was some underlying, difficult-to-grasp principle about art;
that of two things can be very much alike to me and one can be of great value, the other be
aesthetically valueless, that there must be some very subtle thing that has to do with painting.
And i was very much interested in finding out what that underlying principle is.'
Roy Lichtenstein
This piece of art was in response to the journalists as he was voted un talented and not a credible artist. |
His famous style of using dots in a comic strip style. |
His landscape style but still having the signature dots. |
The mirror work where he uses his dots but wants to focus on shades and reflections. |

About Me
My Notes
Hello my name is Natasha Wallace and I am applying for the job role of Fashion Forecaster. I am currently completing my degree in Fashion Communication and I previously completed a foundation degree in fashion.
I have traveled all my life and lived in countries such as Dubai, Madrid, Qatar and America. This has helped me good at adapting to different situations it also enabled me to experience different cultures, trends and fashion influence.
Experiencing these different trends inspired me to follow fashion and see where it originates from. It also helps me understand different cultural influences in fashion. This is where my love for fashion started.
I also did an internship for My Chic City a online trend magazine. Focusing on trends in fashion, location, events , people. This helped me understand trends and ways to represent trends. After this I knew I wanted to focus on trends.
Taking skills from the my chic city internship in my spare time I interviewed up incoming creatives. From Bands, photographers, designers, editors and interns. The focus of my interviews is on how they started And how they got to where they are today. My aim is to inform other creatives how to be successful.
The interviews are just an other aspect of trend research focusing on up and incoming people.
A fashion forecasting role involves researching and predicting future and incoming trends. As well as understanding the influences that impact trends.
I feel my skills make me perfect for this role as fashion forecaster as my current work involves researching trends which all research can be seen on my blog. I then collect this information and present it in a visually pleasing format. ( show portfolio and explain the trend work)
These skills fit well in the role of a fashion forecaster but what I bring extra to the job role is the way I present these trends. Using multimedia such as illustrations, paint , photography so on.
This takes the trend information from just research to pieces of art that stand alone by themselves. A different form of information graphics.
I feel the job role of fashion forecaster allows me to uwe my skills as well as combining what's have learned about cultures and trend forecasting then taking the information and presenting in a fresh new way.
I am Natasha Wallace and thank you for listening. Do you have any questions?
